Cladagh GlenThe Glen takes its name from the Cladagh river formed in the depths of the Marble Arch Caves, carving its way through the limestone rock of the Marlbank and leaving a deep scar in which there are remnants of Irelands ancient woodland. Most of the route follows the course of Cladagh upstream, at times no more than a bubbling brook, but after a heavy rain becomes a brown torrent plunging down the glen. An attractive walk year round, and even more so in the winter months when the river has a good flow and rock formations are visible through leafless trees.
